Icynene® can effectively control the conditions that cause mold growth in wall cavities because it minimizes the movement of air into the cavity. If air can not exfiltrate or infiltrate the wall cavity, then neither can dust, mold spores or moisture vapor.

Icynene® creates continuously insulated, tight walls and ceilings – exactly the leak-free building envelope that is needed to minimize the potential for moisture, condensation and mold. Also, Icynene® is not a food source for mold, and with dust and moisture effectively sealed out of the wall cavity, mold will have a hard time finding something to grow on.
